I spent the morning yesterday with a bunch of World War Two veterans. Sobering, particularly on the anniversary of Long Tan But these two lightened up the day,
A pair of lively young ladies, who worked behind the scenes in Australias war effort.
The photos we took are part of a several year long project by the AIPP, the Australia War Memorial and the RSL, to document all our remaining WWII veterans with a formal regimental photo. Nearly 8000 veterans have been photographed by AIPP photographers from around the country. The end result of all these images will be many things, a book and a mural at the war memorial,
It also an opportunity to give the families a professionally shot momento of the important role their loved ones played in our history.
